Rapid7 End of Life Policy

In an effort to constantly innovate, Rapid7 continuously reviews supported platforms, products, and features based upon changing demands in the market or technology. Platforms, products/editions, and features chosen for end of life will be announced on the Rapid7 website as well as in the product release notes. Rapid7 will provide a 12-month grace period where end of life platforms, products/editions, and features will be supported.

End of Life

The end of life cycle will be based upon the following criteria and guidance:

Supported Platforms (browsers and operating systems)

Supported platforms will generally follow the same support cycle and end of life cycle as the operating system or browser vendor. This ensures the supported platforms continue to receive security updates from the vendor. There will be times a platform will go into the end of life policy based upon changing market demands and technology advancements. At the conclusion of the end of life policy Rapid7 will no longer provide installers or updates or defect fixes for the platform.

Features

As our products evolve there will be times where Rapid7 will put a feature into the end of life cycle. This occurs for a number of reasons, not limited to; changing market demands, ability to innovate, or changes in available technology. At the conclusion of the end of life policy Rapid7 will no longer support the features and they will be removed from the product.

Products/Editions

As Rapid7 evolves there will be times where Rapid7 will stop selling a product or edition. This occurs for a number of reasons, not limited to; changing market demands, viability of product, or changes in threat landscape. When the product/edition goes into end of sale it will automatically go into the end of life policy cycle.
